Summary

This position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the facility’s equipment according to safety, maintenance systems and processes. Responsible for maintaining the grounds surrounding the facility.

Essential Functions

· Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment.

· Trim and edge around the walks and walls, including removing weeds.

· Apply pesticide to rid grounds and facility of pests.

· Shovel snow from walkways and sprinkle salt down to keep people from falling.

· Perform routine maintenance duties such as applying plaster, plumbing, assembling furniture, etc.

· Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping.

· Install lighting, hanging doors, pictures, etc.

· Maintains inventory and submits written requests for supplies; tests and evaluates new supplies and equipment.

· Maintains clean washrooms.

· Communicates to Management any maintenance concerns.

· Operates power equipment such as a pneumatic lift, pressure washer, hand and power tools.

· Performs preventative maintenance in and around facilities.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Preferred Experience: Custodial experience. Custodial and building maintenance in a dispensary setting preferred. Background in construction trades preferred.

Education: High School Diploma

Preferred Skills

Ability to perform multiple tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Adherence to safety practices when handling hazardous materials and operating equipment. Problem solving, with the ability to adapt to changing work priorities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
